How to Build Community

When you go to the market, ask a neighbor if they need anything!

Leave any unwanted books or toys in a community place as a free library!

Offer to pet sit or take a friend’s dog out during the week when you have free time!

Make extra portions of a meal and deliver it to a community member.

Smile and say Hi!

Introduce yourself and share your contact info with your neighbors!

Organize a building or close community coffee hour to get to know the people who live in your area.

Perform a random act of kindness, no matter how big or small!

Offer to split a ride with a neighbor who works close by to you or a coworker who lives near.

When you go to the market, ask a neighbor if they need anything!

Advocate for people who you see struggling for a voice in any matter.

Check in on your elderly neighbors and see if there is anything they need assistance with (making meals, changing lights, sending an email…)

Clean up or fix something in a shared space that is overlooked.
